"Dealing With Authority, Part 4"

Compliance or Defiance?  It's not a difficult decision if our Designated Authority is benevolent and wise.  We all appreciate a government that works well.  But what happens when we find ourselves under the rule of someone who is cruel and ego-centric?  My hair still stands up when I remember Joaquin Phoenix as Caesar in the movie "Gladiator."  What a mean fellow he was!  How deserving he was of being de-throned!  And how GLAD we all were when he finally was!

The purpose of this series is to find a merge place between the extremes of rebellion and tyranny.  The rebel and the tyrant are actually two sides of the same one coin.  They are both sourced within the same ONESELF.  So are the compliant and the defiant.  In their transmission on "Neo-Shamans," the Reconnections had this to say about our planet's current polarizing environment, and what needs to be done about it:

"Your world systems, your planetary alignments, your modes of thought and manner of living, are soon to transform.  Crafty forces within your governments, angry citizens without---rush at each other.....O! So silently ............neither one comprehending the storehouse of terrors that each has directed against the other. The Heart of Polarity is to be broken at last!  It's template thrown hard against a granite wall, and shattered into a million shards.  Each "piece" is a universe unto itself.  You have, no doubt, heard the prophetic utterances concerning the ends of the Earth.  There are to be earthquakes, and plagues, thundering, and gnashing of teeth.

The armies of the East will face the battalions of the West---mirroring Northern and Southern brethren from the now distant Civil War. To "abstain" from taking a position "against" someone or something, in a highly polarized environment, is to become functionally invisible.  Indeed, it is our resistance against someone or something that landed us in physical form in the first place!  To unravel, bit by bit, each strand of judgment and condemnation--to begin to embrace all others as reflections of oneself---is to merge with a new vibration, a "homing beacon" of grace and peace for a new world.

To learn how to "hide" in this maelstrom of worry, hostility, aggression, and separation is to begin to live "between the cracks" of society.  When you are lost in the crowd and looking for comfort, it often feels as though you are the only one left with any sense of softness, any desire for freedom from the din of hostility.  Then suddenly, an invisible hand reaches out---from behind a lamp post---and pulls you into a hiding place where Spirit can teach you how to look at life from an entirely new angle.

The Spirit of Oneness calls forth it's leaders by peeling away their Veil of Forgetfulness, like layers of an onion.  As in days of old, the leader will not seek this post---but rather,  each simply acquiesces to his assigned duty through finding that he can literally do nothing else!"

Obstacles are placed in a person's path to accomplish one of two purposes.  First, to inquire of a traveler:  "Are you sure this is the way you wish to go?"  If the answer to that question is "Yes," and the obstacle remains.......a second question gets asked:  "How do you know this is the way?"

It's a fair question.  Your obstacle has become a border guard, asking for a passport.  If you view him or it as separate from yourself, your energy decelerates. If anger flares, your energy decelerates even more. Remember, there are no accidents. And every person, object, situation, or location mirrors some part of who you are.  When an obstacle slows us down or stops progress, we call it a "speed bump."  It checks our direction, our motive, and our willingness to flow with what is.  Unless you BECOME the element which blocks your path, you have no command over it. You cannot write a check from a bank account which does not bear your name.

The first step for meeting opposition is to clearly discern if this person truly IS opposing you, or if he/she is simply triggering some personal wound that wants to come forward and be healed.  If it is the latter, then we're dealing with SHADOW WORK, not Principles of Authority. In other words, the "shadow" of some "issue" you carry inside you has fallen over the image of this Person In Charge. If this is the case, you may need some time to introspect a bit--so you can figure out what it is about this guy that sets you off.  If you follow the above link, I discuss Creative Shadow Work in detail.

Assuming that the person-in charge is genuinely blocking your progress on the path, the next step could be to make sure that your attitude is in a malleable place. Are you aware that a good deal of human society operates within a chain-of-command system?  Do you respect the system you're in?  If you tend to be an anarchist, living in an already established societal structure, do you sense that your mission is to liberate humans from unwanted structure?  Then stop reading right here.  You will not be happy with the next levels of this series as they unfold.  However, if you earnestly want to flourish in a social setting, have no particular ax to grind about authority, then stay with me here. You will probably find the process to be painless, and quite useful to accomplishing your mission in life.

One of the key insights offered by the Reconnections, over the years, is found in their transmission entitled "The World of Time/No-Time."  I will include a bit of it here:

"The Law of Reciprocity states that it is energetically impossible for one person to desire something of another that does not have a significant meaning for both.  After all, there is only one of you there!  At the same time, a statement of "No, thank you.......," coming from one side of an interaction is automatically reflective of both sides.  What you tend to think of as a "conflict of opinion" will eventually be recognized for what it truly is---an opportunity for two beings in physical space to experience and celebrate their multidimensional nature.
In Oneness, there is no such thing as disagreement.  There is simply infinite variance upon the same, one theme.  As your Reconnected Planetary Heart begins to beat in rhythm with this simple truth, your need for policemen and courtrooms will vanish.  The time and resources once used to maintain them will be re-allocated to other endeavors.  That alone could feed and clothe all the people of the world several times over.

People will be free and honest with each other--knowing that they are not alone, they are ALL ONE!  What one sees in another is but a reflection.  What all see in one is but a refraction of the selfsame Spirit of the All.  Determination, will, and resistance become transformed into liquid availability--allowing the strongest, yet least contrived TONES of the Moment to lead the way.

The shifts and changes we are describing here cannot be enacted through political action or deliberate intent.  They are born of a higher vibration, and can only begin manifesting when humankind lets go of its addiction to ego-centered control, and simply begins to flow with the river of life that has always been within you.  The struggle and hardship of your Limitation Journey are just about complete!   Your hearts are opening, and becoming knit-together through communication, and your growing realization of who you really are."

Both Tyranny and Rebellion spring from the same Oneself Core.  In each case, the mindsets of the individuals involved have simply moved to a polarized place, where each has FORGOTTEN they are part of the Same One Being.  We're not just talking philosophy here.  We're talking actual Energy Anatomy.

The term "Shadow Boxing" or "Shadow Dancing" is often employed when we see this type of thing happening.  The participants firmly believe they are fighting "for what's right"........even though their "right" hand never quite understands what their "left" hand is doing.  The Bush Presidency was a perfect example of how things can get all twisted when we reason from places of Separation rather than Oneness.

I can't recall a time in history when the Leader of a Nation was given a stronger message of "Don't Do This" than what occurred during those final months preceding the Iraq War. Not only Americans, but people from ALL OVER THE WORLD marched, on several occasions........MILLIONS OF PEOPLE....saying "No Iraq War."  At the time, Bush felt that it was his job "as a Leader" to follow his instincts. And to this day there are those who would back him in that assertion. However, the number of people in that camp dwindles with each passing year.

Meanwhile, Congress.....whose job it is to represent the people, to exercise oversight.....sat motionless as this Social Disaster unfolded.  Senator Robert Byrd of Virginia was among the few who stood up and cried:  "Where are the voices of my colleagues in Congress, asking the important questions of this President? Where are the voices of those whose job it is to protect the people?"

From what I could see, those members of Congress (including Democrats) who could have spoken up seemed more focused on "protecting their ride" than giving voice to fears and doubts being felt by the electorate.  Authors, Comedians, Philosophers, Clergymen were SPEAKING OUT concerning the injustices that were unfolding:  The Patriot Act, Illegal Wiretapping, Betrayal of CIA Operatives, Torture, Cronyism and Unfair Appropriation of Funds.  All of this fell on deaf ears. At one point, VP Cheney was being interviewed about the War. The interviewer said to him:  "You are aware that almost 75% of the American People want the U.S. out of Iraq?"  Cheney's response was:  "So?  The people elected us to do a job.  We're doing it to the best of our ability.  We can't run an Administration based on polls."

In a Oneness Economy, there is NEVER a time when the "dark" aspects of an equation can be dumped only on one side.  Remember what the Guides said?  "There is no such thing as disagreement in Oneness.  There is only INFINITE VARIATION upon the same one theme."

Whenever we see an extreme appear in the Oneself, we can bet that it exists to challenge or balance another extreme.  During the Bush Presidency, America was so frightened of another Terrorist Attack at home that they granted unusual powers to their Commander-in-Chief, even though he showed clear signs of not being able to handle that kind of power.  Our extreme FEAR gave birth to an equally extreme form of BRAVADO, which promised to keep us "safe," while randomly violating treaties, international boundaries, and constitutional rights in the process.

I have spoken about the polarity of "Theos and Chaos" (Form vs. Random Chance) in the Energy Activations Sector.  As these two Primal Forces intertwine, and begin to share their gifts with each other, they provide some key insights for we who are seeking reconnection back into the One.

The Chaosian Manifesto (if you will)....written by those who advocate for the least possible government, have this to say about structure in society and the allocation of power:  "All structure is bad.  Structure requires leadership, leadership bestows power, and power always corrupts."

As I said, extremes beget extremes.  "All or Nothing" vs. "Nothing at All."  Obviously power CAN corrupt.  There are many Administrations who have been proven to be rife with corruption.  The Bush years revealed very little use of Administrative Oversight, wide open doorways for opportunism and exploitation of National Resource by the "ruling elite," blatant deception of the American People.....seemingly throwing our case for regulation by duly appointed Authority right out the window.

But really........it doesn't have to be that way.  All structure ISN'T bad.  And all leadership ISN'T corrupt. And if, perchance, a leader happens to fall out of integrity, the only need at that point is for his counterpart(s) to step forward and balance him.  HOW this is done, and the internal mechanism which accompanies the process is the topic of our next segment.

Denial of Dissent in human society is a reaction against distorted attitudes being held in the hearts of those governed.  Denial of Authority in society stems from blind spots in the awareness of current leadership. What is that old saying:  "He who would be greatest among you, let him be servant of ALL."

Being a SERVANT OF THE ALL is more complicated than running around trying to please everybody.  And it's far more complicated that coming to your own conclusions about "the greatest good for the greatest number."   There are very few decisions a leader makes that won't displease someone.  The real question is:  What is he doing inside himself with the voices of those who complain?  Does he put up a wall against them?  Does he welcome ongoing dialogue?  And what about the people who live under his rule?  Are they doomed to simply accept, blindly, the decrees of their Emperor?

Much more to come on this issue.  Much more for all of us to learn.  And not a moment to soon.  The Obama Presidency is just about to begin.  Even as our new President-Elect prepares to tackle overwhelming challenges with the best team he can muster---so shall we, the Electorate, eagerly search our souls for a new alignment of attitudes to assist him in that process.
