Being Together, Birthing Together A 3-Pt. Commentary on the Reconnections Transmission (click here)   by Daniel Jacob Having laid considerable ground work for recognition of society's current shortcomings, especially in regards to home and family, let us take a look at alternative resources which could be tapped into during upcoming activation periods on Planet Earth. Let's face it, folks. There are rough waters ahead. Anything that isn't bolted down tight is likely to break off, in the midst of a storm, and fly directly into our face. I'll never forget the first time I saw the movie "Twister," starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton. It's about storm chasers, who are trying to discover the mystery and growth patterns of tornadoes and other severe weather challenges. In one scene, Bill and Helen's characters are chasing a gigantic (category 5) tornado, and they see something flying at their truck in the distance. Bill says: "What's that?" Helen squints and then yells "Turn! Quick! It's a cow!" In another scene, they barely miss being pummeled by a flying gasoline truck. I was speaking to someone recently about the INFRASTRUCTURE in our big cities. Faulty bridges, failing pipes, and earthquake vulnerability. The same is true in the realm of human dynamics. Many families and primary relationships are held together by duck tape or are hanging by a thread. All they need is one severe jolt, like a serious illness or a job loss-and they're toast. I'm not one for believing much in political changes. The world of politics has become a beast unto itself. It has an appetite, it FEEDS, and it doesn't seem to give much back to us in return. When I speak about "us," I'm referring to everyday working folks. As awakening spirits, our best bet is not to tangle with the beast, trying to make political changes. I feel we would do far better to dance around it as we lay out our repertoire of gifts and abilities so we can assist Planet Earth as she enters into the Shift of the Ages. Special Gifts and Abilities In their transmission on the subject of Spiritual Gifts, the Reconnections outline a way of viewing and organizing society which takes us all the way back to our days in Atlantis and Lemuria. The initial presentation divides human society up into service clusters centered around support services each person loves to provide for others. Studies have shown that the primary way people find fulfillment and happiness is through positively contributing to the lives of those around them. In societies of old, people would gather together according to certain skills, which they possess. They would then form "guilds" around these skills to more effectively hone and market them. People who resonated with the idea of art or creativity would be in one guild, and the cloaks they wore would all be a certain color. Those who were in another guild, such as cooking or carpentry, would gather together regularly, and would all wear cloaks of another, very distinctive color. This would happen in regards to all significant parts of society. In this way, people with skills could be easily spotted in the city and approached if someone needed help in their field of expertise. There may come a time, down the line, where humanity is ready to begin living in this way again. But for today, we would be lucky to get people to begin looking INWARD, so they could try to match what they're doing on the outside with what's on the inside. The integration of feeling and the awareness of root motivations can be scary if people have learned to sidestep that type of knowledge. Many think of it as dangerous, like opening up Pandora's Box. The list presented in the transmission describes twelve Gifts for Service, but there is always room for more. The Recons call them "Orientation Gifts", because they encompass a ROOT MOTIVATION for why we are as we are, and insight into what makes us do what we do. Once a person understands the root motivation for why he does what he does, he can begin shifting his priorities to honor that motivation- to feed it, and bring it into every area of life. Support for Change If looking inward can be a bit threatening, it would stand to reason that one might be able to use some moral support if and when he or she begins doing it. That important need is the purpose for this month’s article. The concept of "Being and Birthing Together” will get bigger and bigger as time goes by. The Reconnections have repeatedly referred to humanity, in their teachings, as being "spiritually pregnant" at this time. They say this about us regardless of gender or station in life. They tell us that we are creatures who are undergoing a metamorphosis, and the tensions and pains we feel are actually Labor Pains for a New Humanity. As planetary energies continue to rise, people will complete their metamorphosis process and begin birthing new versions of themselves. It’s already happening now. New and upgraded spiritual aspects will come "online" within their existing personalities, and they will become altogether new - brighter, better, more fearless and far more passionate about life. If you've been following the articles I've been putting out this past month, you'll probably agree that existing support systems within most peoples' lives (friends and family) could find these changes to be quite threatening. If they are not looking inward, growing and changing, they might even be inclined to RESIST metamorphosis in their loved one's lives, which could make for an uncomfortable situation all around. This is where "Being and Birthing" Groups come into play. In their transmission about this subject, the Reconnections have the following to say about our process of metamorphosis: "Now comes yet another time of great awakening on your planet. As the energy rises, so do each of your signature vibrations, thereby determining which types of perceptual "software" you allow yourself to utilize at any given time. Imagine that you are logged onto a great NETWORK of resources (we speak now in computer analogy again). There are "programs" and "sites" waiting to be accessed there, but many of them are safety-sealed, so that individuals cannot access them personally until their body energy reaches a certain "pitch" in the vibratory scale. This is all laid out, according to each Individual Life Itinerary, for the purpose of holding back spiritual awakening (illumination) until the appointed time. Everyone differs, according to his (or her) Spiritual Gifts and Experiential Goals in this lifetime, and it behooves all of you to honor these blueprints and the timing of each birth, rather than using a person's manifest skills and knowledge as criteria for deciding whether he is "spiritual" or not. All are spiritual. And all are wise, wonderful, and magical beings. Some are merely sleeping. They are enjoying their Vacations in Limitation, and are not quite ready to come home just yet. So be it. Our purpose for writing today is to invite you to begin developing local Birthing Centers in and around your homes or businesses where spiritual awakening (rebirth) can occur. You might think of them as "Labor Rooms" for a New Humanity. Let their style and decor reflect your local heart and your personal vision, and let there be an abundance of evidence that real human beings gather there, not just the Spiritual Elite. Out of the ashes of a crumbling Old Paradigm characterized by forgetfulness, separation, control, and manipulation-a New Paradigm is about to bloom. Its foundations go back as far as human history can recall. And you, who are alive and awake at this time, are being given the opportunity to perform a service of being "midwives for the New Paradigm, and hospice workers for the Old."¹ People need places to gather at this important time. They need places that are informal, comfortable, tolerant, loving, accepting, and as close to FREE OF CHARGE as possible. If funds need to be collected for basic expenses, so be it. But we would encourage you to allow such contributions to be voluntary, lest you deprive yourselves of a host of gifted members, who have been grounding themselves by hiding behind a facade called "I don't have the money." Do not require them to drop their "game" too soon, in order to get in the door. They will learn soon enough to live without it. These Centers would be distinguished from Workshops, Seminars, Conclaves and the like because the focus moves around the room to each individual creating a space where each viewpoint can be shared, rather than expositing on some set agenda for training or education. The goal of this sharing would NOT be to examine or correct each other. That kind of activity, worthy though it may be, belongs at another type of gathering. In a Spiritual Birthing Circle, the goal is simply to allow each one, in turn, to express how he or she is doing in that moment. What lessons were learned since the last meeting, and what new insights are coming to light? This is the soil out of which beautiful powers can bloom. In this way, each one present can focus in on those issues and ideas which most stimulate an expansion of energy and personal growth." Discovering Freedom and Personal Joy The only way a person can lay aside patterns of control and manipulation is to participate in a communal setting where control and manipulation is revealed for what it is and gently deflected into tolerance, patience, and love. This is what a "Being and Birthing" Group is all about. By allowing ourselves, as adults, to re-enter the gentle "womb" of an emotionally supportive environment, we will be giving our Children of the New Earth the very best gift we could possibly give them. Those days when children and young people are "helpless," leaning heavily on their parents and society for support, are soon to be gone. This new breed of "meta-humans" which is emerging today will have an awesome impact on our world and our collective future. They don't particularly need guidance as much as they need space to operate, and someone to grant authority to them so they can do in our midst what they've been specially equipped to do. Before Indigos, Crystals and Star Kids can gift us with their power, it would be helpful if we swept up the carnage that has been created by former generations struggling to gain security, peace and acceptance while floundering in states of spiritual forgetfulness and despair. Someone wise in the 1960's put it this way: "The times they are a changin'! Deal with it and choose. Lead, follow, or get out of the way." In the 1960s, when I was a teen, the transformation business was about social revolution. Nowadays, it's about personal EVOLUTION. We've come a long way, baby. Transformation is not just a philosophy. It's an event, and it’s happening now. Our planet will accept nothing less. This, of course, is why people are leaving our planet in droves. The Reconnections continue: "Out of the Unity of Me, comes the Complexity of We. In the beginning, an infant cannot fathom the idea that his mother, father, sister, brother, OTHER, are not just parts of himself. This is why he cries so vehemently at times. If he calls, and they do not answer, it feels horrible. Would you not cry if you commanded your arm or leg to move and it did not? Would you not panic? This is what BIRTH and growth is like to the consciousness of an infant. From that initial Connection grows Fragmentation, the dance of filtered perceptions. There is "me" and there is "other." There are details, insights, and an intensity of intimacy even if that intimacy only involves being locked in a human body feeling every impulse, every hunger, and every need that exists therein. With Fragmentation comes Variance. Each viewpoint is perfect, and each personal experience of life is as unique as a snowflake in winter. The Birthing Community can be a powerful place for each of you to begin The Great Work. Even the simplest Birthing Community is like a "nesting place" for the human spirit. It becomes a sacred space, where "remembering" can occur. People gather, they share, they emote, and the tones that are created will tend to activate dormant energy "programs" that are present in your personality, and in your resource center of consciousness." When I was a Fundamentalist Christian, back in the 1970s, I used to prefer home "Bible Studies" to big church meetings. I saw some powerful life changes occur in that simple, straightforward environment. Incidentally, that is how the early church began as well. The minute Big Religion enters the picture along with Big Money the whole process goes haywire. Though my personal spiritual orientation has expanded greatly since those "fighting fundie" days, I still treasure the homey, loving environment of home-based encounter groups.
